Millions of people daily are experiencing some trauma about either a circumstance that they are involved in, or something to do with their appearance or health.
These people are desperate for solutions that will make all of their problems go away, and they will pay a price for it.
People unhappy with their appearance for example too much hair over the body, losing hair, acne, overweight, underweight, wanting to bulk up, ugly unhealthy teeth, chronic nail biters, etc
People who are in some kind of financial difficulty – they may need credit urgently but can’t find anyone to lend them money, they may be about to lose their home, they may be desperate for finance for some reason or other (there are even a lot of searches for financing for breast implants)
People who are wanting to improve their quality of life in some way – work less hours, have more money, start a home business, become a successful gambler, get more access to their children, get as much as possible in a divorce settlement, get a better job, have the car of their dreams, find their soulmate, bring back a lost love, etc
People are always willing to forego spending money on themselves in favor of their children or their pets – children may have a certain disease that they need help living with (ADD) or their dog may be a constant shoe chewer, etc.
These are just a few of the things people are searching for online. And these are the things you can capitalize on when your trying to make money. Face it you know what you search for.
Creating several small blogs/websites with small articles, while advertising these products or services or even selling your own ebook is where you make your money. (As far as selling your own ebook, I will be doing a post on that either later this week or next week. I will show you how to turn it into a PDF file and how to put it online, how to write a pitch page, and even how to get paid for it. All for zero cost to you, absolutely free.)
Now comes the time to decide how your going to use that free webspace you got the other day.
What kind of niche market your going to have. Myself by naming my webspace simply you I will be able to cover a large market encompassing all of the above and even more. Of course this means that I will have to write pages for each item but that is a different post.
So think about your market, think about how you use search engines and what you search for.
When deciding on your niche market an easy way to do it is by simply using a keyword tool. There are loads of them out there (some free, some paid,) but I use Google’s Keyword tool Adword, as it’s fairly accurate and I’ve had good results using it.
All you need to do is type in the main keyword for your niche, whatever it is. Say your niche is stopping snoring, you’d enter “snoring”.
You’ll get a big list of keywords related to snoring. Here your goal is to pick some keywords from this list that you can create some content on that will get easily ranked in the search engines. Here’s how to do it.
You want to pick some words that have between 500 and 5000 searches per month. Keep in mind that these are “guidelines”.
What I like to do is do the search, then click on the link at the top called “advertiser competition” twice, so it sorts the list with the less competitive keywords at the top. Then I scroll down the far right column to see which of the most lowly competitive keywords have strangely high levels of search volume compared to that competition.
All your trying to do here is find 30 such words. 30 words that have between 500 and 5000 searches per month in the “average search volume” tab and that seem to have a low relative of relative competition.
If you’re not finding any good keywords under a search for the main keyword as above, you can choose one of the keywords from the first list, and run a separate search just for it, like “stop snoring” for example. Go back and type that into the tool, click the “advertiser competition” button again, and see what you find there.
If your finding too few, this might not be a good market since not enough people are searching for it. On the other side of the coin if you are finding too many then this could be bad as well as the competition could be fierce.
We will be getting back to the keywords in more detail when it comes to writing your pitch page(if your selling your own product) or writing your content to get up your google pagerank.
I think tomorrow will we will talk about how to set up those pages and where your advertising will come from.
And in the days to come I will show you where all that traffic will come from. How to use you tube for advertising and bringing traffic to your blog/website, how to use myspace, facebook, tagged, and many of the social networks for free advertising, how to use links, two way links, three way links, back links to get those customers flowing.
